Current Focus

Work and Projects

01

Natural Hazards

Assessment and interpretation of natural hazard processes, including volcanic flows, tsunamis, debris flows and snow avalanches. Applying earth science and fluid dynamics to inform risk evaluation and decision-making.

02

UAV Solutions

Design, development, and deployment of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) for natural hazards and environmental monitoring. Enabling efficient data and sample acquisition in and during hazardous and hard-to-access environments/events.

03

Interdisciplinary Research

Coordination and delivery of inter/national, multidisciplinary projects across geoscience, engineering, and surveying. Driving integrated, practical solutions through collaborative research.

04

High-Performance Gear

Design and prototyping of field equipment informed by firsthand experience and the need for reliable gear in harsh environments. Focused on robust solutions for extreme conditions and remote operations.
