Natural Hazards & UAV Solutions
Geoscientist with a PhD in Geology specialising in natural hazards, with five years of research and work experience as technical lead and data analyst across local and international projects. Experienced in leading teams and managing multidisciplinary collaborations.
Open to research, industry, and interdisciplinary collaborations focused on innovative, data-driven solutions for natural hazard assessment, UAV applications and environmental monitoring.
Current Focus
01
Assessment and interpretation of natural hazard processes, including volcanic flows, tsunamis, debris flows and snow avalanches. Applying earth science and fluid dynamics to inform risk evaluation and decision-making.
02
Design, development, and deployment of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) for natural hazards and environmental monitoring. Enabling efficient data and sample acquisition in and during hazardous and hard-to-access environments/events.
03
Coordination and delivery of inter/national, multidisciplinary projects across geoscience, engineering, and surveying. Driving integrated, practical solutions through collaborative research.
04
Design and prototyping of field equipment informed by firsthand experience and the need for reliable gear in harsh environments. Focused on robust solutions for extreme conditions and remote operations.
